What is the Torch Awards Program?
The Torch Awards Program is an individual recognition award for
those who participate in a variety of personal growth and service activities.
There are seven different activity areas in the Torch Awards Program. To be eligible for each award, students must
obtain a certain number of points in each of these seven categories:
1. Leadership
2. Service
3. Cooperation
4. Knowledge
5. Friendship
6. Love, Hope, & Faith
7. Patriotism

The Torch Award Levels
There are four different levels to BPA Torch Awards Program
Executive Torch Awards
▪ Presented at the local level by each
chapter
▪ Requires 10 points in each division
▪ Check with your chapter’s vice
president for details
Diplomat Torch Awards
▪ Presented at the regional level
▪ Requires 30 points in each division
▪ Check with your region’s vice
president for details
Statesman Torch Awards
▪ Presented annually at the Minnesota
Spring Leadership Conference
▪ Requires 50 points in each division
▪ Resumes are due by February 15, 2010
▪ Send completed resumes to the
Minnesota State Vice President

Ambassador Torch Awards
▪ Presented annually at the National
Leadership Conference
▪ Requires 70 points in each division
▪ The “Ambassador of the Year Award” will be presented to the applicant
with the most points
▪ Resume are due by March 15, 2010
▪ Complete the online
resume and submit to your local advisor and vice president for approval.
